Our aerospace tooling and aircraft assembly tooling facilities are among the most advanced available and allow us to deliver complete, end-to-end aerospace tooling solutions.

History
1984
Odyssey Industries is established and initially produces shipping crates and automotive tooling.
1989
Odyssey began producing Aerospace tooling.
1990 - 2000
An expansion in capacity and capabilities includes a new facility with triple the capacity, developing and Invar tooling capability and investments in high-speed, 5-axis machining.
2000 - 2006
Odyssey moves to the facility where we operate today, with increased ceiling height and crane capacity for tooling, and adds more than 100 employees.
2012
Odyssey, along with Coast Composites and Global Tooling Systems, is purchased by American Industrial Partners and soon becomes Ascent Aerospace.
Leadership
 
Kurt Nanney – Vice President and General Manager of Odyssey Industries, has more than 25 years of management experience in the automotive and aerospace industries, specifically in the tooling business. He joined Odyssey in January of 2011 as the Vice President of Operations and was then promoted to VP and GM in January of 2013. Kurt has been an integral member of the team responsible for the significant successes of Odyssey’s changes over the past few years.
 
Prior to joining Odyssey, Mr. Nanney was VP of Operations at True Industries, where he expanded their global manufacturing capacity and capabilities. He was also on the executive staff of Solartec, a division of Sekely Industries, where he developed European and Asian business opportunities. Kurt holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Liberty University.
