STEM students visit GEMCOR

January 2017 – In support of career development efforts for local STEM (Science Technology Engineering Math) students, Gemcor hosted a group of select students from Gowanda High School, in New York, for a day of learning and exposure to automation technology supporting the aerospace industry. STEM students engaged with GEMCOR designers and engineers to learn more about robots, CNC positioning solutions and automatic fastening technology used by Airbus, Boeing, Embraer and Bombardier and most every Tier 1 and Tier 2 aero structure supplier around the world.

“GEMCOR continues to encourage these opportunities and interaction with our local schools and Universities”, stated Bill Mangus, GEMCOR’s President & CEO. He continued, “We need to help local students thrive in our technology-driven world, so we can continue to hire locally from this talented pool of individuals.”
