Ascent Aerospace Update on Coronavirus

03/23/2020

March 23, 2020 – In response to the latest announcements regarding the ongoing spread of COVID-19 (coronavirus), Ascent Aerospace has reassessed our business operations in accordance with executive orders issued by the states and countries in which we work.

At this time, all of our employees globally who have the capacity to work remotely are doing so; all travel, international and domestic, has been restricted for all non-mission critical activities; and increased sanitation of our facilities is ongoing.  Our manufacturing sites, with the exception of our West Seneca, NY plant, will maintain factory work schedules and installation plans to the best of our ability under the Department of Homeland Security’s memorandum on the Identification of Essential Critical Infrastructure Workers in Response to COVID-19.  This memorandum calls out the Defense Industrial Base as part of those critical workers.  As such, any defense prime contractors, sub-primes, suppliers, or any sub-tier suppliers at any level, are essential businesses and will remain open at this time.  This work is deemed essential to national security, defense, intelligence, aerospace development and manufacturing as it relates to the Department of Defense, the intelligence community, NASA, and other federal and state government agencies.

We continue to work diligently to take all of the necessary steps to ensure we protect the health and well-being of our employees, customers, and suppliers while doing everything possible to maintain business continuity and project support.  As the situation continues to evolve, we will be monitoring it closely and will communicate any changes if further actions are to be taken.

We are committed to making the safety and well-being of everyone a priority.
